First Time in Tenerife

Just booked a holiday to Tenerife, 2 weeks in Puerto de la Cruz in December. I know it's quite a wait, but I am excited nonetheless. :-))

Due to finances, wasn't sure if we would be going away at all this year, but then thought might be able to maange later in the year. Tenerife initially became my choice because it's more affordable than my usual kinds of holiday - intensive touring. But the more I researched, the more exciting it sounded.

I have chosen to go to the north rather than the south because North definitely retain more Canarian feel than extremely tourist orientated south. We will have to sacrifice a few degrees because Mount Teide does make the north slightly less warmer and more windier, but it will still be better than UK weather in December. :-))

The only thing I definitely want to do in the South is "Yellow Submarine" so now I just need to figure out how to get there.

Have you been to Tenerife? Any tips?

  4. Thanks Medeia :-) Hopefully, I should be able to speak at least basic Spanish by then. That should make it more interesting.
